Front rotor size difference - 93 945 T

[Canadian 93 945 Turbo with ABS]

I bought new rotors for the front from the dealer. It seems that their parts database shows a different rotor than is on my car. They have given me Volvo P/N 6848902 which is an 11 inch diameter and 1 inch width. My old rotor seems to be less than 11 inches ⎖.75] and the original width quite a bit less than 26mm; 23-24mm.

I am sure the new pads are right as they have the correct clip.

After caliper piston compression (yes, I forced it all the way back), there is no way that my pads are fitting over the new rotor.

Is it also possible that something is wrong with my calipers? One caliper seems to open up a little wider than the other but still not enough. There are bolts with a rubber boot that retain the two caliper halves. Do these usually need service?

Can someone please shed some light on this?

Thanks,
