New Radio / CD Player 200 1992

Well, I have lived with my crummy stock Volvo radio for 4 years so when I got some extra birthday money I decided to spring for a new radio. My Volvo radio had terrible static on the FM band that made it unlistenable, the AM reception was perfect.

Last Wednesday night I got on the Crutchfield website and ordered a cheap JVC unit with a CD player. The radio arrived on Friday morning, with the necessary wiring harness adapter and face plate. The instructions were great and the most difficult part was removing the volvo amplifier from behind the lower dash console.

The new unit works great and I am very happy. Crutchfield is awesome and so is the Brickboard for giving me the information I needed to remove the old radio and install a new one! Now I need to get some CD's!

Them Crutchfield guys are awesome. I had a junk factory radio in my Mustang, and step by step, i upgraded the head unit (JVC), added a couple of extra amps, and two subwoofers in the trunk. Nothing has blown yet and the car is still running. Best thing is i did it myself, and I am no electrician.
