NO HEAT FROM DASH VENT 200 1990

I recently bought a 1990 240 with 215k miles. The heater seems to blow pretty good out of the windshield defroster and the footwell vents, but no heat and very little air out of the dash vent or side window defrosters. Is there maybe a tube or connection detached behind the dash? Some other reason? Any help would be appreciated.

I had this problem too but I had blown the water pump. Hope that's not your issue though.

I had this same problem last year, and I foudn that the hose coming out of the fire wall had become disconnected. I plugged it back in and it was as good as new. It might also need replacement.

Have you opened up the flaps with the little "oreo cookie" control? The main dash vents are always on unless the flaps are shut. If the upper or lower vents are on less air will flow to the main vents.
