Hi. I am new to this forum, and new to Volvo ownership. I own a '94 945, and have a question concerning clutch engagement. The clutch engages/disengages with only a little pedal travel (very high up). is this normal? Symptoms of a failing clutch? The clutch is hydraulically operated.

This usually means that the clutch lining is worn out and needs to be replaced. The more the lining wears the higher the engagement on the pedal until the clutch starts slipping.

Had the clutch lining etc replaced today. Yes, it was definitively past the sell-by-date... Thanks!
