Dude...Do not put a turbo in the car. It is a pain in the neck to do it.
One thing is to put a High Octane of gas in the car. It will give it more pepp. Also throw a K+N Air Filter in the car that will add 10 to 15 HP. Next throw on an Exhaust System that is free flow. The 700 Series cars are relatively easy to do. Go with a Borla universal or a Flowmaster, they both are solid. Do not sell the car and buy a turbo. That's dumb...Make what you have now special. Look at IPD for ideas...they aren't cheap mucho dinero.

    Hope it does something

I'm curious as to why you think putting a turbo in the car is "a pain in the neck"

      have you done the conversion?

No one has suggested it yet, but the most economical way to increase HP is to sell your present car and buy one with the turbo. I know everyone from turbobricks and the hotrodders will howl, but if you look at the problem objectively, it's hard to beat trading cars. If you have a '91 740 (for example) and you can get $1500 for it, tell me how you're going to come out better building your own when you can buy a nice 740 Tic for about $2500?

If you want to build a car, build a car. If you want cheap horsepower, trade up.

I agree with you that it is cheaper to trade cars, but the problem that I have is what about all the stuff I've replaced/fixed on my current car? Finding another car that I know is "good" would be challenging.

then there's the whole damn attachment thing I "feel" (uggh, did I say that?) towards my current brick... I don't think I could sell it. crazy I know.

    add a turbocharger!

It's called an F+T conversion and it is all the rage.

Check out www.turbobricks.com and check their performance archives for information. Don't ask any questions on their board until you search their archives or they will bite you!

    Check out IPDUSA.com
They sell exhaust systems and cams for your car.

Don't expect more than 25 hp gain with out a Turbo set up.
