You seem to have researched this quite well from reading your prevous posts. I want to get your opinion on NA sedan setup with only a Turbo front bar (23mm) and stock sedan rear bar (19mm). Will it be better to change both front and rear bars to the turbo sedan bars (23mm, 21mm).
Dan, thanks, I did put a lot of time into researching the upgrades on my car before I performed them. (measure twice, cut once, save $$$) Regarding your sedan, I'd go with the 23/21 setup. If you use a stiffer front bar and leave the rear suspension untouched, you may notice the car trying to 'twist' a bit as the back end tries to roll more than the front. It's a weird feeling and it will probably encourage you to upgrade to a stiffer rear bar. -but if all you have now is a 23 front bar, put it on and wait for a rear bar to come to a scrap yard near you. If you're planning on using wagon springs or IPD sport / overload springs, I'd keep the original rear 19mm bar and re-evaluate after a test drive. If you use progressive rate springs, I would think you'd want the stiffer 21mm (turbo) bar since the heavier spring rate doesn't kick in until part way through the spring travel.
I'm planning on putting a set of TRW progressive rate springs on the back of my wagon in the next few months. My local Napa can order them for $65-pair. The original rear springs are starting to show their age since the car was previously owned by a growing family of 6 for about 13 years, and heavy loads were routinely carried.
God bless,
Fitz Fitzgerald.
