Oil Weight for Northeast-based 122... 120-130 1967

Hello All:

1967 Volvo 122S Wagon. I put up a post earlier regarding winterizing the beast for the New York Metropolitan Area winter rapidly threatening our prisitine shores, but no one commented specifically on oil weight. I need to top off with a quart right now, and I am about 700 miles away from a full-on systemic change. What weight should I use? I believe the previous owner used Castrol GTX 10W-30 or 10W-40 but would love to hear what you guys have to say.

I know what to do about the oil filter when I do my change so no need to comment on that here.

Cheers,

Jeff Pucillo
