What's the Difference between AW70 and AW71? 200

I've heard that the AW71s are more durable, but, besides stall speed (and lock-up features on some), what exactly is the difference between AW70s and AW71s that makes the AW71 "beefier?"

    What's the Difference between AW70 and AW71? 200

I know for the 740s the turbos got the AW71 and the others got AW70. I believe the AW71 is slightly more robust.

    What's the Difference between AW70 and AW71? 200

I may be mistaken, but I think the 70 has a normal convertor, and the 71 a lock-up convertor. Otherwise the gearbox is similar.

    What's the Difference between AW70 and AW71? 200

Scanning through the AW70/71 green manual, I don't see much difference. Some line pressures here, some valve body springs there. No mention of any major parts like bearings or clutches being different. Throughout the manual, the same picture is used for both. Perhaps a more through review of the part numbers would reveal something.
