The car is actually completely standard & has no competition history ... the guy I bought it off (a fellow Historic Rally Association member) just put the stickers on it to dress it up a bit !
It's currently running twin Strombergs, but I have a set of Su HS6's as well to try on it. It has the "integrated" manifolds - but the Australian delivered cars don't have the secondary butterflies & the "mixing chamber" in the inlet manifold (our emissions laws weren't as tight back then) and has the twin downpipe exhaust manifold.
I have already transferred the Koni rally shocks to it out of my old car, and the sumpguard, harnesses, tripmeter, "period" leather competition seats etc will go in later in the year (I have a rally I am organising to get out of the way first .....). Will probably uprate the springs to 164 fronts & 145 rears to stiffen it up a bit, as well. I have a pair of Cibie Super-Oscars (genuine 70's vintage) to go on the front as well as the Oscars that are in the photo.
If I get enthusiastic I might put a rollcage in it sometime in 2005 - in the meantime it will be used for TSD-type road rallies & the odd motorkhana/autocross etc.
There are a few more pics in the Gallery .... I'll post more as the project progresses.
