just noticed that when backing up for more than 30 feet or so i get a thumping noise that i would guess.. 700

.. is about the same frequence as the drive shaft rotation speed. no noise when backing up to, say parellel park. car is still under 30 day warranty, but would still like to solicit inputs. its a '90 760 turbo auto w/112kmi.

Check u-joints, also centerbearing carrier.
