Parking brake pads clip and fit. 200

While I was changing out the e-brake pads I broke one of those little retaining clips and I'm wondering if that's going to be a problem. I guess it would be because the pad will not stay all the way against the backing plate and will at least make a lot of noise. Can I buy those clips, or do I have to buy a whole backing plate?
The other thing is that after I reassembled the pads on the plate the rotor will not fit back on. There is no little star adjuster, so I guess I somehow have to fiddle with that little mechanism at the bottom that connects to the the cable. Is that right?
All help will be very appreciated.

Pearl,

I often harvest those "prone to break" E Brake clips at my local Pick & Pull. They give them to me as a freebie. You can get the new shoes to fit within the rotor by loosening the adjuster on the parking brake cable. Remove the rear ash tray and pop out the plastic cover that is behind the tray. Inside the center console there is a 17MM bolt, centered under the lever base, that tensions or loosens the two E (Parking) brake cables. Give it a few left hand turns until the E brake fits into the rotors. Then once everything is together adjust the cable by retensioning it so it fully releases the E brake but begins to pull on the cables after a few clicks of the brake handle. Hope this helps.
