thinking of buying 945T 900 1993

I just sold my 93 244 and want a 945T. I think this car comes with two different automatic transmission which may depend on whether the car is a turbo or not. Which auto transmission code is preferable for better fuel mileage and is this attributed to the NA or turbo typed cars?

The AW-71L (lockup) is preferable to the AW-71. I don't know how this is referenced to NA/Turbos.

Bit better fuel economy.

Dear Norm,

Good p.m. and may this find you well. I believe the AW71-L is found only on the normally-aspirated models, while the AW-71 is found on the turbos.

Both trannies are well-nigh indestructible, so long as fluid is flushed more often than once a decade.

Yours faithfully,

spook

Dear Gustaf,

Good p.m. and hope you're well. I presume it came so equipped. To every rule, an exception will be found.

Yours faithfully,

spook

I am second owner. Car came with AW71-L. Now +180k miles, runs fine despite overheat 2 months ago. Check those rubber tubes to water cooling at oil filter base (looking is not enough, squeeze´m hard, like you would your worst enemy´s **lls).
