The intermittant wiper setting isn't working well, as the stalk must be held down a little to make the intermittant feature work. Can I repair it somehow by cleaning some contacts, or should I spring for the entire new stalk at the yard?

While cleaning contacts might work, access is real tough and to my recollection, the unit is mostly sealed. Try either the junkyard or www.borton.com. The last new stalk I bought cost around $85.

why not just check ebay, they sell for around $15 there.
