Well, you have to submit your mileage to the list .... one appeared a a while back that had moved me down a notch .... but Bob Isaac noticed the modle and year of the car and determined that it was physically impossible for it to have the mileage claimed ... so it was removed ... so there are some checks and balances.

I update mine a couple of times a year there is a link to submit your mileage on the site

Just checked, see it is time to update my two 240's, will move the 1980 up about 75 places. They will never get up into your league though, at least not with this driver, it has taken me over 24 years just to get up to 189,000!

        1980 245DL 189,00
        1992 245 183,000

Truth be known, Janet .... T'was the original owner who racked up the vast majority of the mileage on mine. he lives about a mile away from me and is actually several years younger. My car was sold to Donnie new when he was a partner in "Sports Car" type speed shop and received it's IPD Suspension upgrade during the late 60s as well as the Shelby wheels. The car was originally a B18 "Awfulmatic" which allowed Donnie to purchase the car for a significant reduction in price on Friday, Sept 13, 1965 .... guess the purchase day didn't spell bad luck for this 122 ;-) Within a year the Tranny was swapped for a straight 4 speed .. later for a M41+Jtype overdrive. The B18 lasted for approximately 1,000,000 miles while cruising the New Mexico Desert it had a fit of temper and threw a rod out through the side of the block. At that time a B20B was installed which was in the car when I bought it and was there until I swapped in the B20E a year ago last spring .... Last summer I had the head rebuilt .. new valve guides and hardened seats, and this summer I had the block done ... .030 overbore and IPD/ISKY Street Torque Camshaft. She now purrs like a kitten on steroids ;-) my latest activity has been to get involved with the Atlantic Sports Car Club in Halifax and have been competeing in SOLO 2... (Autocross) ... even with the suspension improvements the improvements made in suspension technology over the last 40 years are VERY obvious.... sheesh ... your average MINI VAN can turn better times than I can !! Next Spring I will be back at it but will be using the TOYO PROXES RA-1 tires I picked up from a Formula Ford competitor. A friend who runs a Civic had four runs in on his competition tires and he had switched back to his street tires when the organizer decided we had time for some FUN RUNS on the same course. Same car, same driver, same course only the tires were different his time INCREASED by 6 full seconds .... geez if I can get 6 seconds improvement I'll actually be in the competition !!!

Go here to see a couple of my runs

POWER is NOT a problem .... a Limited Slip Differential would solve a LOT of problems too :-)
