Just came across this old Road Test report (courtesy Volvo Owners Club - UK) - makes for an interesting read.

    The best part was the pic at the bottom, of the engine compartment and caption describing the Bosch fuel system..... "Not a d.i.y. proposition!"

    Ha-ha, I guess the joke's on them!

    I wonder what 17 000 GBP totalled to in US dollars back then?

    You should read the 85 740 Wagon road test from Road and Track on that site it was very good. They raved about the quality, design, and performance of the car.
