I'm going from memory but I don't think they got those right
red goes to the alternator
black goes to the oil pressure sensor behind the alternator
Yellow is for the dash temperature guage
did you mean blue yellow? I have never seen a green/yellow
The blue yellow goes to the starter from the ignition switch

I bypassed the plastic connector on mine. I think he is right. The easy way is to cut and replace each wire bypassing the plastic connector one at a time. follow them down one at a time. I can't remember the colors off hand, but one is for the temp gauge, one for the starter, the thick one (brown or black) is for the starter too, one for the oil pressure sensor and one goes to the back of the alternator (that the red one).
You can bundle the oil & alternator wires together in the new loom, just make sure you use two different colors to tell them apart or the battery won't charge right. Run them along the firewall to the pass. fender side AWAY from the heat of the engine. It can be done.
