Window antenna not powering up 900

I have a 1995 940 wagon with the amplified antenna in the rear window. I usually get static only. Occasionally it will get a signal, when it does the unit will operate fine until you turn the car off. Signal strength is not a problem.

Is the problem in the radio or the antenna? I have an old radio I can install but if the problem is in the antenna I will have to put in a mast type. Has anyone had experience with this problem? Thanks in advance.

I’d do a little trouble shooting before putting in a new antenna. There is a stab connection at the window. Also the amplifier just below it. It could also be the radio.

Check to see if the antenna plug has come unplugged from the back of the radio. That'd be the place to start. Good luck.
