Where does the vaccum line on the turbo connect to? 700 1988

Is there a complete diagram of vaccum connections for a 740 turbo? Where does the vaccum line from the turbo wastegate connect to?

Thanks,
Chris

    Chris,

The long vacuum hose (from the CBV) should connect to the intake manifold somehow. On my '89 760T it is connected directly to the intake manifold, yet on my '94 it is "T"ed into another vacuum line which ultimately connects to the intake.

Not sure of a source of vacuum diagrams, your car should have a sticker with the vacuum hose routing somewhere in the engine compartment (on underside of hood, either strut tower are typical places).

    Good luck,
    Bean

No. It connects to a nipple on the compressor. 700 1988

It's just a short hose, maybe 4-5 inches long.
It wouldn't hurt to get a heat insulator wrapping or sleeve.
When that hose breaks, the turbo boosts without wastegate. It WILL put #1 rod through the block (Ask me how I know this :<)
