No dyno yet, sorry... I've had no Volvo budget the past year.

That hasn't kept me from doing a lot of tuning and tinkering. It runs great. It's stoopid fast (as Cameron would say). It gets excellent gas mileage. I alternate driving it and the Amazon -- ran it about 40 miles this morning.

I think the carbs are pretty much nailed down, but I'm not 100% on the timing curve yet. Dyno will help correct and verify this once I finally get to it, which I eventually will.

I've offered to contribute $100 toward the dyno cost, just so we can finally see what this engine will really do. If anyone else wants to contribute, and encourage Phil to do it, maybe we can make it happen. I would rather know what this engine design can do, rather than have our designs compete against an unknown.

Well there ya go Phil, no more excuses! Find a weekend that you're free and arrange for the dyno at TorqueFreaks, I don't see you having any more excuses now... Just gotta find a weekend to do it, and i doubt that'd be too hard. =D Get in touch with Shayne and Cameron and whoever down here in Portland so they can join you when you go or something, maybe provide some hospitality afterwards...(sorry for entering you guys into the mix... hahah, i would, but i don't live in portland...) Maybe i can make it up for the trip though to meet ya Phil, go for a ride... You know =D.

Hop to it!
Peace,

Naw, I'm not looking for donations and wouldn't feel right taking them... but I really do want to dyno it, and the Portland guys had good things to say about Torque Freaks.

What I need is some tuning time on the dyno. I figure I could get a whole lot done in three hours. That's $95/hr to rent the dyno with gas analyzer.

I've got a 200-mile trip each way, with ferry fees on this end both ways.

So, it's roughly a $350 project, assuming Cam can put me up overnight. John, let's talk about this privately.
