blinker oddness...help needed 120-130

somehow when reconnecting all the wiring harness I have all four blinker lights working with the hazards on, but only the right blinkers work on the steering column stalk. bothing happens when the stalk is pushed down for a left turn.
what am I missing?

Thanks,
-Erik

    Erik;

    The E-flasher switch is doing exactly what its supposed to...connecting the right and left circuits together....so if one side is not working without the E-flasher activated, it indicates that the wiring or directional switch for the left turn signal has a problem.

    Just sniff around...Right directional wiring is Blue, Left is Green...

    I just went through something similar with my 142 -- check the 140-160 index -- I received some good advice there. In my case, the turn signals worked in both directions, but the indicator light on the dash only worked on a right turn. It turned out that the PO had installed too small a bulb in the left front turn signal. If that's not it in your case, I would check the wires that go from the left-side contacts on the flasher unit socket (in the 142, marked "L" ) to the left turn signal lights and the wire from your turnsignal stalk to the flasher unit socket.
