I know a guy that pulled a new pair from a bertone in a local pick+pull but can't seem to track him down. Someone has to have a pair lying around their shop, garage or parts stash... I will purchase them... TIA Tom 27940aholic

Thanks all, Finally ended up finding that guy locally. Although the shocks are quite used, one is totally shot and the other is still good. He gave them to me. Also found a pair around Hartford Ct. area w/70k miles on them i'm going to get from a fellow BB-er.......... Again, thanx all....Tom 27940aholic

The Nivomats are different between the sedan and the wagon at least on the 940SE. The Nivomats are smaller on the wagon. The Nivomats on the a 960 and 940SE sedan are the same.

I have an old pair from a 92 960. Do not know how good they are. Really rusted.

Dear Poorgie,

Good p.m. A Nivomat is a self-levelling shock-absorber, used on some early 1990s 960s. These units are pretty expensive - about $390 for a pair - but keep a car level, even when it is heavily loaded.

Hope this helps, at least a bit (I don't own a car that has them, so I'm no expert, just passing along info acquired here on the Brickboard).
