rear shock absorber squeeking 200

Hello, I replaced the shocks on my 1991 volvo 240 .I replaced them with boge automatics because I was told these were the oem shocks that came standard on the car. They never stop squeeking . I sprayed the bushings with silicone and they still squeek.I was told by my volvo dealer to do this because the rubber in the bushings is new.I cant stop this noise .I would appreciate any suggestions.thank you , Ron.

Maxspeed is right, make sure it's not something else making the noise. New shocks don't require a 'break-in' period to stop squeaking(!).

Remove the shocks and jounce the car again to see if the noise is still there. If it is two things come to mind: the lower bushings (trailing arm/axle), and; the parking brake pads rubbing on the backing plate when the parking brake is on and the car moves forward/backward slightly. Other suspension bushings could do it too but by far the most common are the ones already mentioned.

More than likly its not the shocks..Are you real sure it is them?? If you sprayed them then they would not squeek..There are several other bushings (trailing arm, panhard rod and so on) that may be your source of the squeeksssssssssssssssssssssssssssss....
