brickboard puts another 740 back on the road 700

i picked up a 1989 740GL for $25 in june of 2003. this car was for my g/f who needed a car. the car was sitting for two years and needed plenty of attention.

she supplied the funds as she could afford and i did the labor. new exhaust system, replaced entire cooling system, flushed fuel system, new tires, belts, plugs/wires, cap/rotor and a multitude of work on a neglected car. it was put to pasture because the timing belt broke and the owner wanted a new car(my friend.)

as of this weekend my g/f has it titled in her name and has it registered. she is now a volvo driver.

this board has been a great help. thanks for all your suggestion and guidance,
i will need plenty more as the front suspension is up next.

I bet that it cost considerably more than $25 to get the car roadworthy again :(

Well done for saving another old Volvo from the crusher or perpetual destitution. Got a photo of said Brick for the Gallery? :)
