Help...Pulled shift knob w/ OD 700

I pulled the shift knob off of my 86 740GLE that has the OD button in it. Now the wires are to short to connect. Anyone know where to access the wires so i may run new and connect?

    If you remove the center console you should be able to get to them. They come out the bottom of the shifter and take off towards the dashboard. Mine broke and I had to do this to make repairs.
