is it dangerous to run my 82 245 with the coil hooked up directly to the battery? 200

it could be the ignition switch and yeah that looks like a bear of a job in the meantime will i destroy anything if i do the direct hook-up?,,,,,.blessings,kris

If it is the ignition switch, many other things won't work either from key position II. And the switch is easy to replace; just two screws from behind.

The coil may get warm if you run at full battery, I guess. Good for a diagnostic, but I doubt anyone would want to drive it that way for any length of time.
