battery info

Figured I'd repost some results for any of those in search of battery info.

I was debating between two batteries the volvo and Die Hard. The Die hard international is the top of the line die hard battery. It is avaliable at sears costs $100 bucks (w/ old battery return) and has a 100 month warantee.

There apparently are two OEM volvo batteries. A heavy duty one and a lighter duty one.
If anyone has the specs/crancing amps on these let me know- not sure what the differences are)

light duty battery was $89 heavy duty battery was $106. Purchased the heavier duty one, because boston volvo village diDn't have the light duty battery. 600 crancing amps- 5 year warantee.

BTW- boston volvo village has an awsome parts dept. and appears to be extremely knowledgable.

GREAT WEEKEND FOR A DRIVE!
MIKE

    battery info

Boston Volvo Village seems ot be a great shop for folks in that area.
Interstate makes a really good battery for these cars too- the MH47. FCP sells it for about $80. Has correct shape and terminal placement for 87+ 240, all 700/900 except diesels, and the 850/S70 line.
Nice how Volvo kept things the same over the years.
