Clean your throttle body! 200 1989

If you are having any low idle or stalling issues, clean your throttle body!

I just got my car back from the mechanic (I know, I should have cleaned it myself) and he happened to notice that the throttle body on my car was dirty. He cleaned it and let me know that the car "now runs great."

I took him up on that claim, just to be sure, and 100 miles and two hours later (I felt like driving), I could tell that the car idled more steadily, accelerated faster and more smoothly, and shifted gears with much less of a jump (automatic). If you're having any of these problems, I highly recommend making sure that the throttle body is clean.

Word. Mine was filthy. I swear I picked up 5 or 10 HP, the car accelerates much better now.
