not abig deal, but an interesting problem...after picking up my brand new '90 760 wagon... 700

... it seemed the clock was running quite slowly, i.e.,losing an hour or so in 24 hrs. it would seem to me that a quartz clock ( i assume it quartz on a '90. my '88's clock was) would either run properly or not run at all, so it looks like its loosing electric power for part of the time the car is shut down...
i.e if the car is shut down over night, it only seems to loose 1 hour or so. it seems to hang in there while the car is being driven,as near as i can tell.
...
any goo dinputs gratefully accepted.

Quartz clocks time the resonate frequency of a crystal, as I recall. Anything electronic can break, including this circuit. Also, friction in the gears in the clock could increase with age, hence the slow down.

Time to visit the boneyard?
