K Jet Fuel Injection Learn all about it 200

I have made a few posts the last week or so as I have made repairs to my 82 GLT B23E (only in Canada you say....pity). That's for you old timers that can still remember the red Rose Tea ads that ran a number of years ago.

I guess my iron is too old or there were or are too few of them left as I have had few replies. Necessity being the mother of invention, I have kept on ripping and tearing and googling every part number found. Got lucky today and found a German site that at least for me was very instructive on the K-Jet continuous injection system that is the feeding hand for many earlier Volvos. Text, drawings and even some video of the whole thing running on the bench. Google kindly translated the page and even if it was alittle stilted and the odd word did not seem to fit, the overall effect was good.

To get to the site, google "0437502015". That happens to be the Bosch part number stamped upon the fuel injector used in my car. Then select the "Die K-Jetronic" [translate this page] and you are there. Alternatively : www.xpower.de and then select the Die K-Jetronic link
Enjoy

We CIS People Should Keep in Contact! 200 1980

I'm soooo glad to find another CIS person out there. I own two 1980 242 DLs with CIS injections. Just got done getting baseline norms for their fuel pressures. The fun part was putting the $100 gauge on the control pressure regulator and dealing with fuel leaks. Please provide me with your e-mail address. Mine is menaster@yahoo.com

off topic on email addresses 200 1980

I have a totally unuseable email address now as a result of publishing it a few times on a (not this one) message board years ago. The spammers cruise the boards too, lifting anything@anywhere.whatever. That's why Jarrod went to the trouble of creating an email lookup database dip for registered users access from the envelope icon. For you folks without logins, it might be safer to use a format more like "anything AT anywhere DOT whatever" though I suspect it would be trivial for the spammers to parse those too, if they thought there were enough good ones to harvest. Probably not, because the bite rate would be significantly less from obviously unwilling recipients.

Hi,
I now own my second CIS 240. Brilliant system. My email address is henrik@morsing.cc.

Can you tell me where you bought the fuel pressure gauge from? Is it difficult to connect?

Cheers
Henrik Morsing

Here's a pic of one I got from JCWhitney about 5 years ago. It doesn't look like the one in their current online catalog picture, but the description matches.

Here is it in use. No leaks, but rag ready in case.
