89 745t coolant leak 700

I noticed a little pool under my car after i shut it off, and it seems to be coming from the plastic coolant resevoir. it is just barely bubbling from one of the seams, but is this just a broken resevoir, or is there too much pressure in the cooling system so that it is actually breaking the resevoir? Thanks!
Dan

As the containers might deteriorate after so many years, i would replace it anyhow. A possible cause could be: a defective pressurecap.
For certainty i would replace it with a new unit.

As a third reason it could be a too high pressure in your coolingsystem , but your pressurgauge should give you an indication in that direction.

    Kind regards,
    John

Make sure not to get the scantech POS. Get a volvo one from borton.com or your dealer. My scantech one lasted about a month. Most people recommend switching to the lower pressure black cap also.
