I want to change my bumper cover. Can I? 700

I have a 1988 744t and I would like to put a 93 960 bumper cover on the front. Do these two inter change? If I have to drill a little bit I'm not too concerned-more concerned with width and depth. Any one done this before? Thanks,

Jes

AFAIK, the mounting is the same but the length is different, and you'll end up with a gap below the headlights.

(The 960, as with the later 760, has a sloping front).

I've never tried to cross years and models of bumer before but if you want to replace the cover, you might as well see if you can just fit an entire bumper from a 960 on your 740 mounts. I say this because getting the cover off of the bumber is a b**** and a used bumper is so cheap that it isn't worth the hassel. So, hit the local junkyard and pull the bumper off a 960 and then go over to a 740 and see if it will fit. If not, then you always have the option of pulling the cover off the bumper itself but I bet that the mounts are the same.
