weight shifting noise, sounds like golf balls 200

When ever I accelerate from a stop I hear a wierd noise coming from the rear of my car. It is the sound of weight shifting. Is this my shocks? Struts? Tranny? Please help, it has been making this noise for some time.

Yep, been there, done that. And my panhard bushings too. The noise is gone.

I suspect that it is your rear trailing arm bushings that are bad. Common issue on older 240s.
