Homemade Anti-Rust for Antifreeze? 200

I enjoy paying $3.70 for a pint of Prestone Anti-Rust for my coolant. The stuff contains "petroleum distillates" (doesn't everything nowadays). I'd like to make my own anti-rust. What exactly does that stuff contain?

Ethylene glycol is a petroleum derivative, so the ingredients don't tell you anything. Far better to ignore the Anti-Rust and just change the coolant every two years instead.
