Adhesive for trim on '89 245? 200

The trim on the bottom of the passenger side door of the blue beast is starting to fall off -- what's the best adhesive to use to re-attach?

If you don't use the tape, try 3M trim adhesive and clamp it overnight.

Done the trick a couple of times for me...

Well, Volvo chose double sided adhesive tape. 3M makes a very good one.

Just did one driver's door. Takes slightly more than one 60-inch roll (buy two) and an afternoon of meticulous cleaning of the trim and door. The 3-M product appears to be the perfect width and thickness.

I just noticed a trunk lid handle on your car (!). Incredible. It must be near the top rarest option. At least here in the US, I have never heard of it.

It is very rare over here too, I can remember seeing only one or two apart from mine. As my father has stainless steel prothesis where his hands once used to be, he fitted this handle when he bought the car brand new. When I got the car 15 years later, the plastic-like "paint" was scratched through, so I asked for a new one at the dealer here in Norway. "Well, it has been discontinued for years, and people didn't buy it anyway. Ten years ago it cost 250 dollars." (Well, he quoted the price in NOK...) What I did, was I sandblasted it and spraypainted it. It's been two-three years and it still looks great.

The Swedish police 240's used to have them.

Erling.

What a great accessory for families that like to roller blade or skateboard together.
