I HAVE A 1988 240 GL W/BAD STARTER. THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF STARTERS AVAILABLE FOR THIS MODEL, ONE W/MAGNET SUCH AND SUCH AND ONE W/O. HOW DO I KNOW WHICH ONE TO BUY?

either 1 will work. the permanent magnet style are smaller and supposedly more powerful. good luck, chuck.
