ECT Connector 900 1992

Anyone have a source for an ECT connector. Mines is loose and moves causing occasional hot start problems. I would like to replace the entire connector and wiring up to the ECU connector.

    Dear SF940T,

May this find you well. I think a salvage yard is your best bet, if you can find a car with that section of the harness.

If you have to splice the wires, I'd recommend soldering them (with rosin core solder, the only type suitable for electrical connections).

Before completing the splice, I'd put shrink tubing onto the wire. I'd then coat the splice with dielectric grease and would then position the shrink tube, such that it extended 3" in either direction past the splice. Once the shrink tube is heated and shrinks, it will form a water tight seal.

Hope this helps you get your brick back to normal.

    Yours faithfully,

    spook
