dealer tucking 700

do dealers give repair warranties? my 1991 740 was outfitted with lots of brake work at dalzzell motors of dedham ma 2-3 weeks later the brakes totally failed and they refuse to repair them without a new billing; aren't dealers responsible for their work; would you purchase a vehicle from an oganization like this? any suggested recourse? is there a delaler ombudsman? any ideas?
thanks
harry

Contact your local BBB and file a complaint, this normally will kick start anyone who is being an ass about something like this, also check your local state law's most states have law's reagarding issues like this some even require a 30 day warranty etc etc

Kind of depends if the work is related. You don't say what they did, but let's say you had rotors and pads replaced, and then three weeks later the master cylinder went out. Strictly speaking, those are two separate jobs. But, if the specific job they did failed, they should warranty it, and if not you should think about at least small claims court.

get your local/county fraud unit and/or state MVA involved. 700

You should have a written warranty with the brake work.

It doesn't hurt to call Volvo NA either even though every dealer is an independent yada yada yada
