Exhaust Smoke Quick Question 200

Car produces some white smoke when started after a few days of sitting idle.

Does this mean the catalytic converter is kaput? Or is this benign?

Thanks.

Exhaust Smoke Quick Question 200

shouldn't be a problem, especially if it goes off in a matter of minutes. My 99 Mustang GT does the same thing. That thing taps on start up too (piston slap)

Exhaust Smoke Quick Question 200

benign - white smoke is from water evaporating - blue is from oil, darker gray is rich fuel mix
consider your environment's humidity
