Air Vents S90-V90

My main vents are not working. When I turn on the AC/or just air, it all goes to the foot vents. All dash vents are not blowing air. How can I fix this?

My email is daveha@gmail.com.

Thank you.

Make sure there is not a problem with the ac control module. It is on the passenger side just to the right of the center console, Once you remove the lower part of the dash, you should see it, it has a combination of vac and elect. lines connecting into it.

daveha, first make shure the vacume lines are all concted in the engine

There could be a leak in one of the vaccume motors or lines under dash. Do you hear hissing sound from inside the dash? The 960 vacume leak problem is expalined in the faq, but I fixed it without going through all that by bypassing the vacume motor controling the front air vents, leaving the front vent open all the time. Under aceleration it stays open. Very easy to do.

      Great picture and helpful diagram.

How did you go about bypassing the vent motor? I need to do it as my dash vents do not work under acceleration.

Thanks but I can't take credit for the picture as it's not mine.

On the left/driver side, once you remove the panel and knee gaurd, you will see 3 vacume motors atached to the main air duct. One of them controls the flap that opens the front vents wich stays open as long as there is enough vacume presure, under acceleration due to another leak mentioined in the faq, all of them close. I removed that motor the door permanantly open and ruber pluged the hole and the vacume line.

Under the hardest acceleration I still got air. This is a easy 15 minute job compared to the other way.

I plugged the vacuum line going to the bad vacuum bellows. The dash vents work fine now.
