Wiper Assemblies on 1800's 1800

Hi all, does anyone know what years they had rod assemblies on the wiper assemblies and what year they had cables to run the assemblies? Thanx in advance...L18

My experience has been the change came in '68... but coulda been mid-'67. My experience though is with 122s, which use the same parts I think, but may have gone to cables earlier...

No, I think 1800s had cable wipers much earlier than 122s, which did get them for the '68 model year. I'm not sure 1800s didn't always have them, but I don't know that they did, either.

I can't find any documentation about this... my '67 has cable wipers.

My '66 has rods. Phil's '67 has cables so maybe we have an answer.
