Attempting to nail down slow cranking and sometimes no cranking problem with 1995 960. Have replaced battery, alternator, and cleaned up semi-corroded grounds at frame, but still having problems. Problem seems to be progressively worse in spite of changes. On the occasions when it does NOT crank, all the lights will come on in normal fashion but I will have to cycle key a few times to get it to turn over.

    Check the electrical portion of your ignition switch. Also, does it crank faster when you jump from the starter solenoid power and bypass the ignition switch?

    PNP switch? It is the that time of the year. Too bad you spent that money on an alternator.
