760 Idles higher when hot? 700

1990 760 Turbo. Cleaned throttle body out, and took intake out and cleaned well. OF course car idled faster, so I set the idle to just over 700( I did this the cheap way by bending the stop..).

Problem: On startup car will idle @ 700. if I run it for a while (20min or so).. it then idles at 1150.. (in drive or in park) If I turn car off.. then back on.. it goes back to 700. I've gone thru some FAQ's and it addresses how to set the FI and stuff.. but doesn't address why my idle would be fine on startup then turn up after a while?

Oh, another note, I just added a new used AC compressor in the car.. I have not yet filled it or hooked up the safty switch. So I'm sure the computer doesn't see the ac on, and adjusted the idle accordingly..

760 Idles higher when hot? 700

I have that problem on my 1989 740. I found that coming from a worse contact between the rpm sensor and the computer. So if read your ecu code you surely have "no rpm sensor". Take the ecu code on your car and check in the fact for the reading of the blimp.
