Engine Sensor Identification 200 1980

I have a 1982 245 GL and am trying to learn the engine sensors. What is the sensor in the very front of the engine just below the thermostat? It has two electrical contacts. Behind that sensor, between the 1st and 2nd intake manifolds is a blue plug with two nipples. Is that the EGR? Thanks in advance!

Engine Sensor Identification 200 1980

Hello,
This is a copy of a previous post:

According to the Volvo Green Book, it is called a thermostat valve. It is used for fuel enrichment during acceleration when the engine is below 118F. I had that line come loose and it caused hesitation during warm up. I thing that is a dealer part.
