when you say new style, do you mean with the accumulator and orifice tube? or, the 134 evap volvo sells for the cars like yours?

i've put the 134 evap in older cars and it does make a difference. but, i'm in florida and every little degree helps. the thing i would get from a 91-93 car is the condensor. your fan will be a big help, but the latest cond. is a direct fit and designed for 134. i've got an 82 turbo i'm going to do both the evap upgrade along with the newest cond. it also helps if you close up the expansion valve a bit. the low side gets really low, so make sure you have a high side port to watch that side. with the low side so low, it's easy to overcharge the car. have the shop start with no more than 2 lbs. and look for 90 psi or so, depending on temp and humidity, on both sides before starting the car and compressor. that's a good start. good luck, chuck.
