Should I add 'euro side marker lights'?

I will be getting my 88 244 back from the paint shop next week. I told them to leave off all the emblems. I was thinking about adding the side marker lights that go in the fender in place of the "Volvo" emblem. Do you think that this would be a good addition to my brick? I saw that those could come in either amber or clear. Oh and what are they...a light or a turn signal? Could they be both?

I used the clear lenses with the amber bulbs. I have mine set up to be light and signal both. I love them.

    Mr.,
I got them and wouldn't be without them. The more people can predict my maneuvers, the better. These lamps were standard over here in Norway, and as we got the amber corner turn signal lamps, the side lamps are amber too.

Originally, they are set up as turn signals. But there is no problem wiring them differently, to have them double as marker lights and turn signals. It's not legal in my country (as side marker lights are prohibited), but still not uncommon. I think I can provide you with a diagram if interested.

    Erling.
