Clock! 200 1986

What is with the Volvo clock?
My 1987 keeps beautiful time, the '86 is wacko!
Was this a mfgr's goof up or is there an electrical problem occuring.

No, I do not want to put in a tach, it is an automatic.
Does anyone have a solution?

Eluded by the 4th dimension ...

You know, a tachometer is still useful for an automatic.

It's not used to tell you when to shift. It's used to tell you how the engine is running.

From what I understand, the later 240 clocks aren't as rock solid as the early 240 square ones.

Just replace it with one from the junk yard.

I will sell you mine that is off 1989 245 that worked great before I made the tach/small clock conversion. I will sell it to for $5 plus shipping.

My '81 245 clock also works great. You could possible take it to a speedometer repair place to get it fixed, but here's another idea:

Check out this clock, it has a buy-it-now price of $15.
