I did mine a few months ago... not too bad...
The seal can be pried out using a screwdriver (or anything similiar, just be careful not to scratch up the seal bore).
To get at the bushing, you'll probably have to remove the tailshaft extension housing. (If you want to avoid removing the tailshaft extension housing, you WILL have to use a special "Volvo" puller to get the bushing out.)
Once you remove the tailshaft extension housing, it's pretty much guaranteed you'll have to replace the housing gasket. The worst part is scraping off the old gasket... it's definitely possible, but a real challenge as some areas are EXTREMELY hard to get at. But after 20 mins or so of scraping and swearing, I managed to get all of it off.
Now that the extension housing is off the trans, you can use a drift to knock out the old bushing. Make sure to note the alignment of the holes/channels in the old bushing before you remove it.
I used a wheel bearing driver to pound the new bushing in, but a large socket, piece of pipe, etc. will also work. Don't use a large amount of force when pounding the new bushing in, or else you risk cracking the tailshaft housing.
Hope this helps!
