Grab Handles 120-130

Hey all, First post and a new 65 122s owner. I have perused every one of the 120-130 post and have learned a lot.
I have a question though. This 65 2 door has 73,000 original miles on it and the interior is near perfect with the exception of grab handles (and the floor mats and dash pad, but I already found a place to buy those) up by the seat belt mounts. Does anyone reproduce these or have a source for nos ones? Anyway any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Christopher

Christopher,

What normally goes bad are the end caps on the grab handles. If that is the case with your car, you might want to try what I did.

I obtained handles from Scancar about a year ago under part # 677160. They appear to be made by the same manufacturer as the original, but are a good bit shorter than the original. I removed the end caps and installed them on my old grab handles after cleaning them. With the new end caps, the handles look new.

I might have some of those. I'll look through my "junk" and let you know if I do. Don't know where you can but new ones. Maybe at Scancar (Scancar.com).

Thanks Pearl. I just got an email back fron Sjef at Scancar, and he said that they are working on a reproduction right now, but they are not available yet.
Pearl, let me know if you have any nice ones, I would appreciate it.

Chistopher,
It turns out I don't have any grab handles for a 122. I bet you could get some from a 240. They look almost the same. Do you want me to measure for you, or maybe you've contacted Scancar.
Stanley
