Wipers stopped working - still hear motor move 900 1993

My wipers stopped working. When you hit the switch, you can hear the wiper motor move but the blades don't move. The fuse is OK but I can't figure out how to get to the mechanism to see what is wrong.

Any Ideas?

Ronp

Sometimes the seating of the wiper blade on the shaft comes loose and only needs to be retightened. Before you go into the wiper motor, look at the shaft to see if it's moving inside the wiper arm.

The cowl has to be removed to get access to the motor and linkage. Coupla screws, self evident. No need to remove the hood. First, mark the wiper location on the window as shown in the pic (black tape). Lift up the plastic covers at the base of each arm and remove the screw that holds each arm in place. The pic shows what happens when you purchase a car that had the cowl screen pushed in. Should have seen the fan.

One more thing. It might be a good idea to reseal the rain shroud, It is shown in the pic, near side.
