2 separate problems..or are they related??? 200 1991

Thanks for any help...a 1991 started to stall as soon as I turned her on, turns her on, stalls right away, turns on ,stalls again...then finally after 2,3,4x starts I give gas and she stays on......first problem....not rough when driving, everything regular otherwise and very intermittent...now 2nd problem just started..when I turn car on not stalling but the battery light, brake failure light, emergency light and bulb failure light stay on the dash for few minutes before they go out... it did this 3 days in a row...otherwise nothing wrong with how she performs all day..HELP!, lynn at chmtnbliss@cs.com

Dash lights - Check out the charging system as mentioned. Could be many things. Maybe worn alt. brushes???

I'm with Scorch on the fuel pump relay. A likely candidate. Also could be a fuel pressure regulator. Probably a fuel problem, but you need to determine that for sure.

Your idiot lights staying on indicate that something is wrong with your charging system - either the alternator, battery, voltage regulator, the related wiring, or possibly a combination. Check the 700-900 FAQ or a Bentley manual for how to diagnose it. Do it very soon you you could end up stranded with a dead battery at the worst possible time.

There are many reasons why you could have the other stalling problem. You're right, it's probably not related, though anything's possible. Again, the 700-900 FAQ (go up to the top of the screen and pull down the FEATURES menu) has a very good diagnostic sequence for stalls/no-starts. The first thing you'll want to do is determine whether it's a fuel or ignition related problem, and then go from there.

When was the last time you resoldered or changed your fuel pump relay?
